MS. LINDSAY KAUFMANN
Owner/Dance Instructor Lindsay Kaufmann graduated with a degree in Humanities from California State University at Chico, while continuing her training in ballet. In 1992 she trekked to Austria and became a ballet instructor to over 200 young girls in 3 different cities throughout Austria. She returned home to Palm Springs in 1993 and began teaching ballet in the desert, opening Ms. Lindsay’s School of Ballet in 2000.
Ms. Lindsay, as she is known to her students, believes that her role as an instructor goes beyond teaching ballet. Her combination of artistic ability and entrepreneurial spirit sets an example to the young girls that education is the key to a more enriching life. Her brand of “can-do”, integrity, grassroots efforts, and all-American enthusiasm has given many young girls a chance to believe in themselves, instill follow-through and structure in their lives, and love themselves regardless of body size or shape. Ms. Lindsay teaches with respect, wisdom and grace. These are the attributes the students take with them as they further their studies, not only in dance, but as they pursue their goals and dreams in their own lives.
