Prime Classes
9 – 12 years
For students between 9-12 interested in developing a more serious dance schedule. Our intermediate category offers numerous classes in Ballet, Pointe Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical dance. Students will need to take multiple ballet classes in order to be placed on Pointe. All students will be placed in these classes. What does this mean?
Intermediate Ballet Classes
Classes include basic Ballet, vocabulary as well as building on the basic steps, which develop strength, coordination and flexibility. This level is also preparing students for pre- Pointe work. Prior ballet experience is required.
Tap Classes
This indigenous American dance form, with emphasis on rhythm, is a fun and exciting opportunity for students to build physical coordination and musicality.
Jazz/Lyrical Classes
In this fun and creative class, dancers will explore various kinds of movement through guided improvisation. Students are introduced to basic and additional vocabulary and steps using various traditional jazz & lyrical techniques. The class emphasizes confidence building along with the joy of new discoveries through movement.
Hip Hop Classes
This is an intermediate class to the basic movement in hip-hop with footwork along with fitness with more emphasis on choreography and formations.
